Club Status
We will use this page to keep you updated on the needs and progress of the club. It is my intent to update this site often with new helps, tips, and other useful information, so check back often and keep in touch.
Getting The Word Out - We are currently getting flyers out to Feed Stores, Tack and Horse Supply Stores, and any where that there might be an interest in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Just trying to get the word out and into the hands of those who may want to try this exciting sport.
Practice Arena - Looking for an arena for practices. We need an arena that can accomodate parking for the trailers and rigs. Ideally it would be 250' long, however we can make do with somewhat smaller.
UPDATE: We are clearing for a practice arena on our property. We hope to have it ready for a few small practice/clinics by September / October 2009.
Practice/Clinic - Clint Layne of the South Carolina CMSA has scheduled a mounted shooting demonstration for February 7, 2009 at 2pm in Pelzer, SC at the Circle M Arena which is hosting the South Carolina Horseman's Council. If there is enough interest generated then there will also be a Mounted Shooting Clinic on the 8th.
We have not had a club practice as of yet. We would like to see 8-10 riders at the first organized practice/clinic. Let me know if you want to be included and we will schedule a practice/clinic as soon as we have the riders and a location.
